FOMO was always going to be a family-friendly outdoor restaurant. Long before we picked the menu, we picked the play zone. Kids Eat Free Fridays is a direct extension of that — a standing invitation for parents to actually have a night out, without the usual trade-offs.

The story behind it

We grew up at family dinners that ran for hours. Adults talking. Kids being kids. Plates getting refilled because nobody wanted the night to end. That's the table FOMO was built around.

Most 'family friendly' in Tampa really means 'tolerant of children for 45 minutes.' We wanted the opposite — a place that's actively designed for the kids, so the parents can stop refereeing and start enjoying their food.

The kids' play zone

FOMO has a dedicated kids' play zone with safe turf, mini picnic tables, and string lights so it stays magic well after sundown. It's right next to the dining area, so parents can see everything from their seats.

On a Friday night, you'll see kids running between bites of paneer slider while parents finally get to finish a conversation. That's the design working.

What kids eat free on Fridays

Every Friday, kids 10 and under eat — on us — a paneer slider, masala fries, and a mango lassi when you order any adult entrée. Mild, kid-friendly, and made with the same care as everything else on the menu.

No coupons. No app. Just show up.

How to make a Friday of it

Come early if you want a full picnic table. Stay late if you want to catch the music switch over to Bollywood and party hits as the night picks up. Big-screen sports run inside if a game is on.

Parking is on-site at 8716 N 40th St, Tampa. The whole experience is open-air, so dress for a Florida evening.

Show up. Stay late. We're not going anywhere — and on Fridays, the kids are eating on the house.
